Server Monolith is an interactive installation that premiered at Maker Faire in San Mateo, 2014.
"A eulogy for the control panel and sacred obelisk to the god of networks, The Master Control Station and Server Monolith allow the worship of technology. Exert total control over powerful systems and feel the awesomeness."
 — Byron Russell
"My role in this project was to design and manufacture the electronics that powered the LEDs and sound. A Teensy microcontroller was used to send pattern data to the LEDs and transmit input from the giant controller to the computer.
Processing was used to create the LED animations, while Csound handled real-time sound generation."
