I designed and programmed the LED animations for the 2018 Disorient frontage, crafting a suite of generative routines in Arduino C. These animations ran on a network of Teensy 3.1 microcontrollers, delivering synchronized light patterns across towering 5-meter LED bars.

The LED structures themselves were created by light artist Leo Villareal (The Bay Lights), and served as a luminous architectural centerpiece for Disorient’s presence on the playa.
The aesthetic of the animations is inspired by glitched LED data lines.
