From 1993 to 1995, during the era of dial-up, I was the sysop of Digital Dissonance BBS — a local, community-based electronic bulletin board where people in area code 559 would dial in to trade original music created with early sampler software such as ModEdit, Scream Tracker III, and Fast Tracker II.
